Expert is a distinguished woodworker, educator, author, and expert witness with a career spanning several decades. He co-founded a woodworking company, specializing in the manufacture of unique hand tools and designing products. He has also founded an intensive woodworking program at Hiram College, which later expanded into a full-time program in Parkman, Ohio. He lectured at Hiram College from 1980 to 1986, focusing on hand woodworking techniques from circa 1820 and instituting a course titled “Victorian Furniture” in 1985.

Expert played a pivotal role in the founding of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) in 1985, serving as a founding board member and treasurer until 1990. He coordinated the first AAW Symposium in 1987, which has grown into a major event with over 16,000 members and 365 local chapters.

He served as an expert witness in notable cases, and his expertise in woodworking tools and machinery manufacturing was crucial in these legal defenses.

Expert has written numerous articles for prominent woodworking magazines and served as a contributing editor for several publications. He has also produced instructional videos, winning awards for his scripts. His videos cover various woodworking techniques and tools.

Currently, Expert oversees the curriculum at his workshop and continues to be an active guest lecturer, author, consultant, and expert witness in the woodworking field. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the woodworking community, inspiring countless enthusiasts and professionals.
