How are Intellex experts vetted?
Every expert is peer-recommended and evaluated against a comprehensive set of criteria by our recruiting team. We verify credentials, review work history and publications, score overall profiles, and continuously evaluate experts based on client feedback. Only candidates who meet our standards are accepted into the network.
How does the engagement process work?
It’s simple. Submit a free expert request describing your need. Our team identifies qualified candidates and presents them to you. You screen the expert via a preliminary call — if it’s a match, we handle the paperwork, NDAs, and billing. If it’s not, we keep searching at no additional cost.
Can I speak with an expert before making a decision?
Yes. We encourage a preliminary screening call so you can assess fit before committing to an engagement. All experts are bound by NDA with Intellex covering all client engagements, so you can speak freely from the start. If you require a specific confidentiality agreement before the call, we can accommodate that as well.
How quickly can Intellex identify expert candidates?
Turnaround depends on the complexity of your need, but we routinely identify qualified candidates within 24–72 hours for most requests. For highly specialized or urgent matters, call us directly at 513-655-4065.
Does Intellex handle engagement administration?
Yes. From the initial search to the final invoice, Intellex manages the full engagement. We handle NDAs, contracts, billing, and all administrative work — so you can focus on your case or project rather than the logistics.
Are expert requests confidential?
Yes. All experts are bound by non-disclosure agreements with Intellex that cover all client engagements. If you require a specific confidentiality agreement in place before a screening call, we can accommodate that as well.
What is the cost?
Submitting an expert request is completely free and carries no commitment. Expert rates vary based on qualifications and scope of engagement and are discussed once we’ve identified a match. There is no charge for the initial search or screening process.

Who qualifies as an Intellex expert?
Intellex experts typically fall into one of four categories: distinguished academics and researchers; retired professionals with deep practical experience; currently employed practitioners (with employer authorization if needed); and independent consultants with verified domain expertise. Most experts hold advanced degrees and have ten or more years of experience in their field.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying to the Intellex network is completely free. You invest time in completing your profile and biography — the more detailed your profile, the better we can match you to relevant opportunities.
What kinds of engagements will I be considered for?
Experts can be engaged for consulting projects, expert witness services, research and advisory work, in-depth interviews, and more. You’ll only be contacted about opportunities that align with your specific areas of expertise.
Do I have to accept every project I’m offered?
No. When we identify a potential match, we reach out to gauge your interest and availability. You’re never obligated to take a project. We ask that you respond within 24 hours so we can keep clients on schedule.
How and when do I get paid?
Experts submit payment requests through our online portal at experts.intellex.com. We handle invoicing and accounting with the client on your behalf. We ask that payment requests for active projects be submitted at least monthly.
How do I keep my profile current?
Log in to your expert portal at experts.intellex.com to update your biography, specialties, and availability at any time. Keeping your profile current helps us match you to the most relevant opportunities.
