Years: 2002 to 2005 | Employer: CONEXANT | Title: Technical Manager | Department: |
Responsibilities:Technical Manager with responsibility to develop high performance silicon IP for DSL broadband modem applications for US, Europe, and Asia. His team developed a flexible DSP PHY core used as the PHY for all CO/CPE DSL chips from Conexant. The productivity improvements gained enabled thecompany to improve from one release per year to many. Responsibilities included architecture definition of DSP & VLIW processors, technical design reviews, project management, design and development, test insertion and design for manufacturability, physical design, and signoff review and release to the factory. Also, responsible for career development, goal setting, recruitment, and performance reviews for development engineers in the VLSI department. 1st generation VDSL modem is currently in production under the product name Accelity Family of VDSL modems, 2nd generation is currently undergoing product qualification. The VDSL products have put Conexant in a market leadership position for VDSL offerings. |

Years: 1999 to 2003 | Employer: XIT TECH / SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO | Title: Founder & Managing Director | Department: |
Responsibilities:One product developed under contract was an IC for the emerging satellite radio market. His team developed an FPGA based hardware prototype of the baseband digital demodulator for the Sirius Radio satellite receiver. Severalproduct demonstrations for key investors were made using the XIT Tech developed baseband prototype. The prototype was fine tuned, and a chip was produced for a high volume vehicle based satellite receiver. This product is the key part of a chip set that generated approximately $60M in annual chip revenues for LSI/Agere Systems Inc. in 2004 (more in 2005!) and has helped launch a revolution in the radio broadcast industry through Sirius' product and service offerings. |

Years: 1994 to 1999 | Employer: SYNOPSYS INC | Title: Consulting Manager | Department: |
Responsibilities:Synopsys is a leading supplier of silicon IP and design automation tools to develop silicon IP. His role as a Consulting Manager was to build and manage a local team to work with clients in the Northeast developing bleeding edge silicon IP using a High Level Design methodology to achieve productivityimprovements. During this effort, he hired a team of ten engineers, performed bid and proposal work, and worked closely with sales team to close business. During this time his team worked on several major projects: Philips Firewire, Lucent SONET STS-3 Time Slot Interchange & SONET Access Interface, HDTV Video Compression, and more. In 1999 the Northeast region was the number one revenue generating region for Synopsys Worldwide Professional Services Group and he led the technical selling and execution of the largest revenue projects. |
