As an entrepreneur and a consultant, Expert has developed marketing programs for independent consultants, consulting firms, and service firms such as accountants. As an Advisory Board member of the Boston Section of the IEEE Entrepreneurs’ Network and Webmaster for the group, he has worked with technical firms to develop a marketing strategy. This group also specializes in assisting small companies in the funding process through angel and venture capital firms. Expert was co-director of the marketing and sales group of the now defunct Boston Computer Society.

As an adjunct to an overall marketing strategy, Expert has integrated and developed advertising programs and the creation of display ads into various programs for clients. These would include continuous advertising in trade and consumer magazines and specific advertising for trade shows.

Expert understands that an overall marketing strategy includes the actual strategic planning process, brand awareness and brand management, and market assessment of the product or service. This segment of the marketing process ranges from the strategic planning process through implementation of all parts of the plan from initial brand awareness development to print, trade show and Internet. Expert also believes that a key portion of any marketing plan is the actual marketing communications and the integration of a public relations program.

As a technically oriented person, Expert gravitated to the World Wide Web several years ago. He has developed and created Web sites for many various companies and worked with clients to integrate their Internet presence with their overall marketing program and to use the Internet to maintain brand awareness. He works with clients to strategically plan the site design and layout by first determining the actual need for the various portions of the site.

Expert has always felt trade show marketing is a key portion of any strategic marketing plan in an industry that depends on such shows to display and introduce products and to network with, and meet, current customers and potential new ones. In some industries, good trade show marketing is more beneficial than print or direct mail. He has created trade show presence for clients that produced significant business and customer response.

Expert feels it is essential to maintain a constant image that reflects on the brand awareness associated with the company. This awareness is carried throughout the company’s advertising, trade show display, and Internet presence.

Throughout his career as a consultant, importer and manufacturer, Expert has found the most cost effective way to leverage a company is thought joint ventures.

Expert is knowledgeable in the use of direct mail. He understands that the use of Internet marketing, to supplement direct mail, is essential to a good marketing program. This direct mail can be generalized or targeted to a specific subset of a company’s target audience. The direct mail needs to be tailored to the specific audience to be effective. The implementation of a direct mail campaign must also be an integral part of the strategic marketing process.


Expert has worked with an established software company to create a logo for a new product, develop and produce a series of industry display ads, create trade show displays, design and produce product and CD-ROM packaging as well as re-design the entire corporate ID package including an internal newsletter.He has worked with a start-up communications company to re-design the company web site and produce various promotional items. Expert has worked with numerous independent professionals to produce marketing materials, presentations, newsletters and web sites.

He worked with a technology company to produce a multi-page corporate brochure and re-designed the corporate ID package.

Expert has worked with several start-up Internet companies in the development of various on-line software development tools.
