Expert has more than 50 years of comprehensive consulting & engineering experience particularly involving air pollution control systems, equipment & permitting; combustion, & combustion control systems and equipment; incinerators, boilers and industrial furnaces and plants; and the management, treatment and disposal of solid, hazardous and special waste. Technical and professional services in these fields of expertise include technical and economic feasibility studies; design and construction document preparation; construction management and administration; environmental compliance and permitting; performance and compliance testing; expert witness testimony and legal support; and related services. Has provided or been responsible for providing consulting, engineering and design services for more than 600 industrial, commercial, institutional, municipal, and governmental clients in 43 states.

AIR POLLUTION CONTROL: Has provided evaluations, design analyses, engineering, construction/contract document preparation, project & construction management, start-up & commissioning, compliance & emissions testing, performance monitoring, and permitting for virtually all types of air pollution control systems and equipment including thermal oxidizer systems, dry scrubber systems, wet scrubber systems, catalytic systems, and combination wet and dry systems. Such work has involved air pollution control and compliance for the spectrum of pollutants including Criteria Pollutants, HAPs, NOx reduction, trace metals, acid gases, VOCs, fumes and odors. Has also provided technical and engineering services involving air pollution control for a large array of applications including fossil and alternate fuel fired boilers and furnaces; incinerators of all types; afterburners; and emissions from numerous industrial and manufacturing applications and processes. Has extensive and in-depth familiarity with all aspects of the Clean Air Act and all pertinent requirements including, but not limited to, Title V Permitting, PSD, NSPS, emissions inventories and statements, air quality modeling and analysis, GHG analyses, BACT, RACT, LAER and others.

COMBUSTION & COMBUSTION CONTROL SYSTEMS: Has provided engineering, design, and environmental compliance services for virtually all types of combustion and combustion control systems and equipment, including those involving fossil fuel-fired boilers, incinerators, industrial furnaces, ovens, kilns, afterburners and oxidizers, pyrolyzers, co-gen facilities and others. He has also been involved with the engineering and design of systems and equipment involving the handling, storage, pumping, piping, and distribution of fossil fuels and other combustibles including coal, distillate and residual fuel oils, natural gas, and an array of alternative fuels.

WASTE MANAGEMENT, TREATMENT & DISPOSAL SYSTEMS: Has provided technical, engineering, & design services for hundreds of industrial, commercial, municipal, governmental & manufacturing clients on hundreds of projects involving the management, treatment, and disposal of a wide array of solid waste types and compositions. Such services have has involved waste collection and handling systems and equipment, waste storage and transport systems and equipment, waste treatment and disposal systems and equipment, and associated compliance and permitting work.

ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING: Has provided or been responsible for the preparation, submission and ultimate approvals of more than 300 federal, state and local environmental permit applications & supporting documentation including Title V Air Permits; Solid Waste Treatment, Storage & Transportation Permits; Wastewater Treatment System Permits; and Permits to Construct and Operate boilers, incinerators, emergency generators, & various other systems and equipment.

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS: Has provided engineering, design, construction management, and compliance services for virtually all types of mechanical system and projects including those involving materials handling systems, fuel and bulk material handling and storage, utility distribution, heating and chilled water plants, HVAC, and combustion systems and equipment for new, retrofitted, and renovated installations and projects.

CONSTRUCTION ASSESSMENTS, RESTORATION & MANAGEMENT: Has provided technical and engineering assessments and reports for numerous facilities, mechanical systems, properties, and buildings regarding all levels of work from new through upgrades, expansions, and total replacements.

TECHNICAL HEARINGS, REPRESENTATION & LECTURER: Provided expert testimony and client representation at numerous public hearings & meetings. Also provided testimony before the Office of Technology Assessment of the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Science Advisory Board, and the House Science Committee- Subcommittee on Energy and Environment on topics related to proposed or pending environmental regulations and environmental issues of national importance.
