Request Expert

Expert has nearly 10 years of experience in the restaurant space, specifically within virtual restaurants and dark kitchens. In his most recent role, he founded and developed a chain of six virtual restaurants that worked as "delivery only" out of dark kitchens. Prior to that, he was the CEO/Founder of a company where he financed and developed a chain of four restaurants in the Brussels area.

He has a deep understanding of the KPIs relating to the restaurant business including the delivery market and its key success factors. He also is very versed in SME marketing/communication as well as IT (POS, self-ordering kiosks and business warehouses). He has a good understanding of the VC market from the founder point of view, having raised a 500K Seed and then attempted to raise 4m in a Round A for Employer.

Prior to that he was the Chief Operating Officer at GrandVision France (until May 2014), where he served as Board Director. Expert was responsible for more than 450 stores, 2000 employees and overseeing sales of 330m Euros. He also served as Business Development Manager at GrandVision (until September 2010), where he reported directly to the group CEO. In this role was responsible for the business integration of acquisitions and group strategy. He also worked for Kingfisher in a number of operations and strategy roles (UK, China, France).

He holds an Insead MBA, a postgraduate from Templeton College (Oxford) and an undergraduate business school degree in France.
