He served as Chief Engineer for Fiji’s first automatic Abattoir and Rendering Plant, which was a several million dollar New Zealand Government Bilateral Aid program. During his term of office as Chief Engineer, he received special on-site training in safety and risk management control in Abattoir operation in three different world class meat processing plants in New Zealand.
