Request Expert

An urban and regional planner with aspirations of bringing new ideas and approaches to the profession. Expert has an avid interest in data science with in-depth knowledge of Urban planning, Urban Resilience, GIS, Resettlement Action Planning, Environmental Management, and research which Expert internalized in her five years of practice. She is a good team player with great communication skills. She has worked in the public and private sectors.

Expert is a graduate member of the Kenya Institute of Planners, an Associate expert for NEMA, and a member of the Environmental Institute of Kenya. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Technical University of Kenya. She has additional qualifications in Environmental Impact Assessment and Audits, as well as Business incubation and mentorship.

Proficiency/Additional Skills:
• Computer Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, SPSS, and Adobe Indesign, and good command of Microsoft Office tools.
• Good Oral and written Communication skills learned through Public participation in urban planning forums.
• Data collection digitally using KOBO collect and Data analysis using SPSS and Microsoft Excel
• Dispute resolution as ex officio members of Grievance redress committees in Public forums for urban planning
• Development control - I have been involved in personal jobs for Change of User projects, Land subdivision and amalgamation, the extension of use and lease, EIAs, and EAs.
