I have been in the Cold Chain and mobile service industry for over 35yrs and have been involved in many projects and innovations in the Cold Chain and in other industries including the telematics sector - pharma transport - monitoring system and anything that you could want to add to a truck - van or trailer. I have listed below some of my key moments in my recent career. Charity Fund Raising Using my project and management skills to good use with a public fundraising program over 6 months. Culminating in the most successful campaign seen by Magpas Air Ambulance and a full case study review of how it was done, to inspire other fundraising teams. Director – Cold Chain Federation formally Food Storage and Distribution Federation I worked alongside some of the most senior figures and influential transport companies in the UK. Working with them to set the federation strategic values for the year to come and to ensure that the Federation was fulfilling its aims to its paid members. My direct role was to help the board understand technical or regulations issues that will affect the members and to engage with potential new members. I was an active member of the organisation and often substituted for the CEO in refrigeration technical meetings and or accompanied the CEO to government meetings to provide technical support. Contract Director Responsible for managing on average 200 customer contracts covering c9500 ancillary pieces of equipment, annual revenue of c£8,000,000.00 per annum including major 3 contracts for national retailers and commercial fleet operators. Contract book value c£32,000,000.00 Developing effective relationships with the customers and building successful business partnerships including direct account management with the large Original Equipment Manufacturers. ( MAN – Volvo – Mercedes – Iveco – Scania – DAF ) Working with the internal equipment sales team to engage in customer order capture and ensure that the service package is offered at point of sale of the equipment. Engaging and developing concepts with internal and external partners to promote and develop joint ventures. Ensuring all customers receive a service aligned to their individual contractual requirements while maximizing revenue for Marshall Group. Delivering the promise of peace of mind for fee paying clients. Direct liaison with the Original Equipment Manufacturers whilst ensuring performance feedback on products and warranty issues are dealt with timely. Business strategy and marketing direction via research and information capturing techniques including regular face to face meetings with strategic partners. Financial and commercial reports on operational progress that provide the status and potential direction for the business.
