Mauritius
My competency lies in all textiles related wet processing & processes such as piece dye, yarn dye & normal wash.
Quality control is also an area of specialization for me, with knowledge and experience for every finishing stage
issues color fastness, surface & handle, stability, pilling, creases, puckering, penetration, elastane for yarns,
iron test, smell, shade checking for yarn, knit ability, levelness within package, cone to cone analysis,
contamination detection, friction test, tensile strength & cross staining on white.
Cashmere processing and washing is an integral part of my competencies. I have been single handedly
responsible for the processing of cashmere during my career. Cashmere is an extremely delicate and sensitive
area of textiles therefore requires expert handling and vast knowledge.
One of the biggest achievement during my career would be the stain removal process & recipe which I have
developed as a response to unnecessary wastage of garments as seconds. Garment stains are a common
observation during the garment knitting/assembly stage. With the stain removal team that has been initiated with
the help of my recipe, we have been able to save garments being labeled as second.
