As the Director of Quality Assurance for Brown and Williamson Tobacco, Expert was responsible for a Quality program that was tied directly to a consumer information system utilizing toll free telephone numbers on product packaging. That system provided for early detection of product defects and consumer preferences and enabled a continuous reduction in consumer complaints. Expert improved the effectiveness and reduced the cost of quality sampling through the application of statistical techniques to sampling programs. Under Expert's leadership manufacturing facilities achieved ISO 9000 certification. Expert was a member of the Global Quality Council for British American Tobacco, the parent company to Brown and Williamson.
As the Director of Engineering for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation, Expert managed activities that implemented improvements in production systems after economic analysis against consumer complaint reduction.
