Expert has developed and applied a scientific systems based approach to hazard identification, hazard characterisation/modelling, risk assessment, QRA, and risk management. The generic framework of risk assessment and risk management can be applied to any technical, services and enterprise context in which existence of man-made or natural hazards could pose a risk to life, property or operational integrity. Much of the application of the Risk Assessment and Risk Management frameworks has been in the safety critical and business critical areas.

On Knowledge Management his focus has been mainly on employee Competence issues in critical knowledge driven roles in an enterprise. A comprehensive model of personal, team and enterprise competence is developed and applied in evaluation, identifying short comings, determining focused solutions and managing the development of individuals' competence in business critical roles.

Finally, the Risk Assessment and Risk Management frameworks cited above have also been applied to identification of security threats and vulnerabilities and risk management.
