Expert is board certified in general surgery. He was trained in surgical practices at Yale University for four years and was appointed Surgical Chief Resident during his last year. He also has a Masters in Health Care Administration and is a Certified professional in Healthcare quality.

As a clinician and expert in surgery he has demonstrated the ability to meet the needs of patients, is dependable, hard working, reliable, and punctual. He is often recognized for working long hours due to his commitment to his patients, attention to detail, professionalism, and follow-up. He has met and exceeded all performance goals to date and has been the leading clinical producer in every position held at his institution. He is often described as being resourceful, energetic, competent, and capable of multi-tasking and results-oriented.

As an educator he uses clear, concise communication skills in conjunction with organizational skills to perform teaching duties and organization of his curriculum. He has done a significant amount of public speaking and presentations. He is often commended for his dedicated work ethic and rewarded by steady promotions to level of Professor of Surgery and Director of Surgical Education. Several medical school classes have also recognized him as "Teacher of the Year" in the past ten years.

As a leader and expert, he is often commended for his mediation and problem solving skills, effective management skills, technical, and supervisory skills. He works well as a team member and independently. He has developed and implemented improved policies and procedures that have resulted in improved efficiency and productivity in a variety of clinical situations.

SURGERY: Expert is knowledgeable with the essentials of general surgery as well as surgical specialties. He is also knowledgeable with various surgical procedures such as treating breast cancer with immunotherapy, PEG removal, laparoscopic surgery, and various surgical oncology procedures. He is also familiar with bariatric surgery. In the realm of surgical education he is familiar with issues dealing with ethics in surgical practices.

WOUND CARE: As a Diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management, Expert is familiar with various antibiotics for treating surgical wounds and has treated and seen several complications in surgical wound care. He has also knowledgeable in evaluating various inflammations as well as bleeding of the cecum.

HEALTH CARE: His expertise includes experience with evaluating thyroid nodules and assessing chest trauma and pediatric trauma, discussing breast cancer and various other diseases. He has also performed oral examinations and assessed oral communication skills in partnership with the Association of Surgical Education. He has given several presentations and published articles on medical students and resident abuse in medical school. He has also published an article, "The Right of Privacy Protects the Doctor-Patient Relationship" to promote and advocate health care services and emphasize the value of confidentiality between doctors and patients. He is also knowledgeable on various issues concerning cancer such as recurrent malignant melanoma, breast cancer, and carcinoma of various organs.
