Expert developed a proprietary advanced planning application designed to optimize the supply chains of semiconductor manufacturing companies. She managed the product development, functional requirements and development of new functionality, developed demos, central to the sales and marketing of product. This tool considered a four-stage manufacturing process including multiple manufacturing sites located globally. Transportation costs and time, manufacturing costs and yield time, inventory locations at certain locations, inventory aging, product-mix, family groupings were examples of complexity included in the model. She also Implemented the tool at several semiconductor manufacturing facilities. Expert developed a Trim-Optimization planning tool to plan and schedule the manufacturing of building insulation. She developed the mixed-integer and linear programming engine to optimize the 3-dimensional cutting scheme of insulation and the scheduling of the cutting machines. The goal was to minimize trim waste while meeting demands on-time subject to inventory costs, raw material availability, machine set-up and changeover costs. Other constraints included were to ensure a cutting scheme that considered allowable product mix by product type, thickness and packaging.
