As the President and founder of a consulting business, Expert works with companies in the coatings and chemical sectors. Before establishing his consultancy, Expert served as Vice President of Research and Development for ICI Paints, where he directed a global R&D team of 1,200 scientists and technologists. In this role, he was instrumental in shaping global business and technology strategies as a member of the ICI Paints senior international business board. Under his leadership, the company introduced groundbreaking products such as the first no-VOC latex paint and the first powder coating used in the automotive industry.

Expert’s career is marked by significant contributions to the development and commercialization of various coating technologies, including acrylic, polyester, urethane, and epoxy coatings, as well as advanced powder, high solids, and waterborne coatings. His innovations have earned him three patents, including one for the invention of “plastic pigment” for latex paints.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Expert has provided strategic consulting services to companies of all sizes, helping streamline product development portfolios, secure funding, and enhance customer service capabilities. He has also served as an expert witness in legal cases involving paints and coatings.

Expert holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry and has been an adjunct professor at Northwest Nazarene University, where he taught environmental science. His contributions to the field have been recognized with the prestigious Roon Award, and he remains an active member of several professional organizations.
