Responsibilities:Founded, owned and operated the first state licensed solar contracting business in Louisiana. Licensed as a general and electrical contractor specializing in solar energy installations, built the company to at one time managing 34 employees operating out of a 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse with 6 trucks, 2 vans and 8 trailers, built company’s first and second websites, managed SEO and PPC, managed company finances, carried out design, scheduling, procurement, sales, customer service, built a 10 person sales team, developed processes and procedures as company grew, consistently determined innovative approaches to solving issues in all aspects of business, managed and personally oversaw the construction of what was at the time the largest solar installation in state of Louisiana – 256 kW for the U.S Marine Corp Facility in Lafayette, LA, designed and installed two 60 kW installations for adjoining apartments with a 3-month time line and a hard cutoff off December 31st bringing the project in before Christmas and with $230k in savings over the original design. Company was ranked 115 in the US by Solar Power World Magazine in 2013 with over 1,200 installations across four states. Shut down due to loss of Louisiana state solar tax credit and the state wide net metering cap implanted within 2 months of one another. |
