Through his work with Six Sigma and DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), Expert has focused on utilizing statistics to analyze data and drive fact-based decision making. Specifically, he has used applied statistics for Capability Analysis, Design of Experiments.
Throughout his career, Expert has worked with applied statistics on a daily basis. He has used statistical data analysis extensively in his work to perform capability studies on processes and machines. This analysis also extends to work he has done in measurement error analysis and gage R&R studies. Where continuous data was involved, he utilized the normal distribution, using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Anderson-Darling, Shapiro-Wilke and Ryan-Joiner tests for normality of the data to go beyond the visual examination of data histograms. Statistical methods including statistical inference was applied to these studies. Where discreet data was involved, Expert used the Binomial and Poisson distributions to model the data and make statistical inferences. He has also incorporated other probability distribution models including log, natural log, Weibull, gamma and exponential when appropriate, incorporating degrees of freedom and the statistical median in box plots to properly determine findings.
Beginning in the early stages of my career, Expert focused on continuous quality improvement in both Quality Control and Quality Assurance to reduce defect count as a quality engineer and manager. Much of this work involved improving daily work quality in manufacturing operations. HIs work also involved developing and maintaining quality assurance management systems throughout the organizations He worked with, thus driving quality improvement and reliability, statistical quality control and quality assurance as a key part of this work.
Expert has been involved in Design of Experiments work utilizing both classical Design of Experiments based on Sir Ronald Fisher's and George Box's methods, as well as Taguchi Methodologies for Design of Experiments, Parameter Design and Tolerance Design.
Expert provided TQM and SPC consulting to shop floor personnel at six factory sites throughout the Midwest United States for Mallory CapacitorExpert provided TQM consulting at numerous sites throughout the United States for Illinois Institute of Technology, Research Institute.Expert provided Six Sigma and Design for Manufacturability consulting at the Libertyville Illinois site for Motorola Cellular SectorExpert provided SPC and Six Sigma consulting for Leonards Metal Company at its facilities in St. Charles Missouri, Wichita Kansas and Auburn Washington.Expert provided SPC and Six Sigma consulting for Delta Corporation at its Jonesboro Arkansas facility.
