Expert Details
Protein Biochemistry, Glycoproteins
ID: 107653
New York, USA
As head of a protein chemistry core laboratory, Expert has participated in the purification and structural determination of many proteins, including transthyretin (retinol-binding protein), strepavidin, canine fibrinogen, parts of human fibrinogen, immunoglobulins, and others.
Expert has extensive experience in the determination of primary structure, as well as some knowledge of secondary structure of proteins. He is also adept in preparation of proteins in forms suitable for crystal growth.
Expert's laboratory has been involved with basic research on human chorionic gonadotropin for 30 years. The staff participated in the original primary sequence analysis, developed numerous immunoassays for diagnostic purposes using the whole hormone as well as fragments, and developed assays which recognize both protein and carbohydrate variants of the hormone significant in diagnoses of problems of pregnancy.
Expert has extensive experience with all types of classical and high performance chromatography.
