Expert is very effective in the area of project management and has established a reputation for being a person who gets things done. Expert is detail-oriented in identifying requirements and is effective in executing tasks and deliverables. Her work on a critical business process mapping project created significant value for a large sales and marketing organization. She conducted an analysis to identify gaps and overlaps in the business processes of a domestic automaker. This consisted of approximately 50 interviews with executives in various departments. She summarized and analyzed the findings and created a preliminary process map that highlighted duplication in some key areas. The client used the findings as an input for reviewing and realigning business tasks. The analysis also served as a springboard for additional work in later phases of the project. The client was delighted with the Expert as a project leader and with the high level of quality of the project output. In addition, the client’s leadership board approved subsequent project phases because of the quality of the first phase. The client recently stated that the Expert's work is still in use on other projects that are underway even 10 years later.

Expert managed a cross-functional team that implemented cost reduction projects for printing and distribution. Targeted savings totaled approximately $1 million annually. Her activities included improving the supplier selection process, consolidating contracts, and working with purchasing to define common pricing and performance metrics. Expert demonstrated a remarkable ability to get results while managing complex programs, particularly those that involve multiple organizations. Her interpersonal and analytical skills make her invaluable to the teams she leads, and she is able to balance the needs of different constituencies while meeting the team's goals and objectives. Expert provides consulting services in the areas of operational process improvement, business performance improvement, and business process re-engineering. On one particular project, one of the Expert's clients needed a road map for improving expense management and training. At that time, the client could not see how the organization could become world-class in these areas. In the words of the client, the Expert “lit a fire under us and convinced us that we could do it.” She analyzed a key business process for the client and determined that the organization was doing 90% of the work for this process, even though they were paying an outside firm to manage the entire task. She identified a significant amount of waste in this process, and determined the client had incurred this waste for nearly five years without even knowing it. She used these findings to motivate the client to manage the entire activity for the first time in four years. She re-engineered the process and trained the staff on the new method. Savings generated by in-sourcing the entire process increased net income by 17%. She taught the client the details of managing expense and launched the organization on a path to world-class status for the first time in years. She also showed the client how to use the available systems to achieve advanced levels of training without significant cost. She used a methodical, logical approach to lay out a plan and helped the client make it part of the organization’s DNA.

Expert also completed a Six Sigma project that involved making recommendations for the future expansion of a program for a health insurance client. In this project, the Expert assessed the level of interest in an insurance program being piloted in the Northeast. The result was a recommendation for expanding the program to other regions. The benefit to the client was the potential for increases in annual revenue of over $1 million. The Expert created tremendous value for the client by using her expertise in quantitative analysis to make the data meaningful. Her results will prove to be critical for future planning.

Expert provides management consulting services and cross-functional team development for a variety of clients. She designed and implemented programs to improve cross-functional team performance and expense management for one of her clients. She conducted reviews of the team’s documentation, trained team leaders on their responsibilities, and ran biweekly feedback sessions that addressed compliance. She also conducted executive coaching and leadership training in this project. The coaching and training involved working with the general manager to ensure that he could take ownership of managing the new team dynamics and the new processes. These steps resulted in improved coordination and cooperation among team members. Productivity increased, and as a result, the client was able to devote resources to a process that had been outsourced for five years. This improvement and the subsequent realignment of tasks resulted in annual savings of 15%.

Expert helped coordinate the effort to consolidate multiple print contracts to achieve volume pricing for a marketing client. This included researching suppliers, identifying the business requirements, and creating a Request for Proposal (RFP). The effort consisted of coordinating the bid, review, evaluation, and final selection process. Three contracts were consolidated into one with a new, more innovative supplier. This supplier delivered technology improvements that drove annual savings of 20%.

Expert developed process and training documentation for a billion-dollar pharmacy benefits management company. This documentation will allow the client organization to cross-train its employees and increase its productivity. Expert developed business process documentation for a client that specializes in the reclamation of nonhazardous industrial byproducts. This documentation will allow the organization to streamline its administrative work, thereby facilitating a more strategic focus going forward. Expert developed and documented a protocol for a client to use in addressing individual customer concerns. The client utilized this protocol regularly and increased the organization's effectiveness in dealing with customer issues. This led to more timely problem resolution and improved relations. As a result, several customers chose to accelerate new purchases. Expert developed and implemented a program to bring a client into compliance with franchisee training requirements. She worked directly with managers throughout the life of the program to ensure completion. She also worked with the client to build accountability for ongoing compliance. The client organization achieved and maintained required training levels for the first time in three years.
