BREAST RECONSTRUCTION: Expert has experience in the techniques of breast reconstruction and is familiar with common problems that occur during general breast reconstruction surgery such as breast reconstruction after mastectomy, breast augmentation, mammary vein surgery and protocol, and transaxillary endoscopic-assisted breast augmentation.
HAND/FOOT SURGERY: He is familiar with microsurgery contribution to emergency hand surgery, reconstructing the hand with partial or multiple toe transplants, bypass revascularization of lower extremity, other upper and lower extremity re-plantation processes, Ilizarov distraction osteosynthesis in the lower extremity, digital replantation in infants and children, bone anchoring system in upper extremity reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma, treatment of mutilating hand injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, stable fixation of hand fractures, plating, and rigid fixation in toe-to-hand re-plantation.
SKIN/TRAM FLAP RECONSTRUCTION: He is familiar with management and using free flaps in surgery, scalp and forehead avulsion, and treatment of chronic osteomyelitis. He is also familiar with skin cancer management and surgical management of melanoma.
MUSCLE/TISSUE GRAFTING: He has clinical experience with microvascular muscle transplantation, muscle and myocutaneous flaps (trials on rats), microvascular transplantation of the Serratus Anterior muscle, facial re-animation, microsurgical replantation, transplants using quantitative fluorometry, chronic osteomyelitis with debridement caused by muscle transfer, re-planting the avulsed scalp, orthopedic surgery using soft-tissue reconstruction, vein grafting in the head and neck, calcified myonecrosis (necrotic damage to muscle tissue), compartment syndrome, and re-operative aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He has also presented several presentations and symposiums on topics such as Gracilis muscle in microsurgical transplantation and free tissue transfer.
WOUND HEALING: He has published articles on wound healing including specific topics such as wound salvaging after failed tissue transplantation, managing and reconstructing failed tissue transplantations and post-surgical management.
OTHERS: He is familiar with head and neck contour defects in transplantation, infections and problems with surgery, standard laboratory techniques using fluorescein measurement of digoxin levels and other serum assays used during reconstructive and transplantation surgeries, microvascular anastomosis, reconstruction of the esophagus and trachea, adrenal myelolipoma and endocrine dysfunction and hepatic tuberculosis.
