Expert has extensive knowledge of physical protection systems with expertise in Access Control, Analogue and IP Video Surveillance Systems for a wide range of markets with considerable experience within the Gaming/Casino sector. He has been involved in many high profile projects in Hong Kong and Macau and to a lesser extent in China and other parts of Asia.

He prepares specifications and drawings for perimeters, barriers, access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, lighting, communications and emergency power systems for commercial and government facilities such as casinos, refineries, warehouses, ports, hospitals as well as, high-rise buildings, corporate campuses and correctional facilities,. He provides bid review and analysis and conducts observation of system testing after installation.

He has designed access control systems for both vehicle and personnel access control. These included active and passive vehicle barriers, sallyports, fencing, optical/electrical/mechanical turnstiles, card readers, and biometric devices such as hand geometry, fingerprint, iris scan, and facial recognition. He has specified all existing keycard (badge) technologies including contactless smart cards, dual technology cards, magnetic stripe, proximity, and Weigand. He has integrated access control systems, including badging systems, with human resources, scheduling, cashless vending, intrusion detection and CCTV systems to establish a fully-integrated computer-based security systems.

He has developed interior and exterior intrusion detection systems including microwave, active and passive infrared, electrostatic field, taut wire, electric fencing, video motion detection, buried sensors, fence mounted sensors, glass break, and dual technology sensors.

He has developed local and enterprise CCTV surveillance systems using analog, IP, and wireless cameras, DVRs, NVRs, video management servers, RAID storage devices, video analytics, and networked workstations.

He was seconded to Kroll Security to perform Security Audits at a large manufacturing facility in Thailand, for a global computer hardware manufacturer. The facilities in Thailand consisted of eleven buildings over two sites with over 10,000 employees.

The security audits were part of a global contract performed by Kroll, to ensure that all security procedures and systems were currant and any deficiencies found, recommendations given, or follow up. He was assigned to the Macau office of G4S to manage a casino consultancy project undertaken by G4S/Global Risk. This contract was to facilitate the design of both security access control and surveillance system. Additionally, he had overall project management responsibilities to ensure the security access control was installed and commissioned prior to opening.

The above system consiste of 400+ access control doors, 1000+ monitoring points and 3000+ cameras.During his work in Macau, he was employed by MGM casino to design and project manage the security access control installation for their first casino in Asia. The project was part of MGM's stratergy of accessing the China market.

He was instrumental in winning two contracts to design, supply, install and project management of integrated security management systems for two high profile banks in HK. Within one month, bot sites had working control rooms and within four months both projects were completed. Overall, these two systems comprised of 300+ doors, 230+ cameras, and 1000+ alarm points and 2000+ fire alarm pointsHe was the lead security designer for the design and built -Tseung Kwan O Hospital project in HK, As well as managing all teh security and surveillance systems, he was also responsible for the design of the hospital wide exchange based intercom system.
