Current projects in his laboratory are in the area of nanoparticle based protein delivery systems, use of amphiphilic peptides as stabilizers of nanosuspensions, and design of peptide drugs. He has served as a technical expert on several patent litigation cases in the area of drug solubility and controlled drug delivery. He has also exhibited his expertise through several book chapters he authored, including “Oral Drug Delivery” in Treatise on Controlled Release Technology, “Bioadhesives/Mucoadhesives” in Drug Delivery to the Gastrointestinal Tract in Bioadhesive Drug Delivery Systems, and “Solubility Phenomenon” in Remington’s Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Expert is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Chemical Society and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists.
He has developed formulations for several drug molecules for pharmaceutical companies. He is a part of the product development team in department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.He has been an expert evaluator for a number of law firms to evaluate patents and offer expert consultant servicesHe is written several patent applications for a number of clients.
