PAEK Process Development and Manufacturing
ID: 733330
Arkansas, USA
As commercialization project leader, Expert formally moved from the development chemist position into a pilot plant and small-scale manufacturing area leader position. During this stage he successfully mapped and modeled PEKK production variables, through their impact on the down-stream extrusion, compositing, sheeting, and thermoforming properties of a wide variety of linear and branched PEKK copolymers, thus allowing design, engineering and construction of a multi-million pound per year PEKK production facility.
As manufacturing manager, Expert was tasked full-time to achievement of manufacturing rates and quality, and stayed on the project through completion of a multi-company, multi-year contract that delivers formed parts to OEM consumer product manufacturers.
