• Extensively participated in peer review and quality improvement activities as a member of the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Surgical Audit committee for 10 years, the credentials committee for one year, the Montgomery County Medical Society’s Peer Review Committee for 3 years, and performed independent review for the Delmarva Foundation, the Medical Chirurgical Society of Maryland, and Medical Mutual Insurance (the malpractice carrier)
• Served as defendant’s expert witness in a civil (non-malpractice) suit, and consulted with several law firms on issues of merit, disability claims, and physician discipline
• Taught otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Otolaryngology residency as an Assistant Clinical Professor
