Assisted Living Facilities:
Work independently inspecting on an annual basis and investigating complaints in assisted living facilities for compliance with New Jersey State Assisted Living Regulations. Areas of compliance include: nursing, pharmacy medication pass, dietary (kitchen cleanliness and resident nutritional status), building maintenance, activities, etc. Prepare reports for facilities detailing deficiencies and veracity of complaints found during inspection. Review and accept Plan of Corrections submitted by facilities in response to deficiency reports. Participate in Informal Dispute Resolutions when deficiencies are challenged by facilities explaining the cause of the deficiency cited. Remain up to date in state regulations through participation in continuous in-house training programs.
Nursing Homes:
Team member participated in annual inspections and investigation of nursing homes for compliance with Federal (CMS), and New Jersey State Regulations. Prepared detailed deficiency reports compiled at the completion of survey visit. Review and acceptance of facilities Plan of Correction in response to deficiency report. Participate in Informal Dispute Resolution when deficiencies cited are challenged by facilities. Remain up to date in federal regulations through participation in continuous in-house training.


Assited family in wrongful death of qualdraplegic with pressure sores (Stage IV) obtained in nursing home.Assited family in wrongful death of resident admitted to nursing home for rehabilitation who died due to nursing neglect.(weight loss/dehydration)Assisted family whose parent died as a result of poor nursing planning/interventions regarding numerous falls. Assisted family whose parent developed Stage IV pressure sore with tunneling, loss of teeth due to poor CNA care.Assisted family whose obese parent fell and fractured leg while staff attempted to transfer resident to toilet.
