Expert's primary training was in Medicine, subsequent to which he obtained a First Class Honors degree in Psychology, Mathematics and Philosophy and completed his doctorate in Neuropsychology at the University of Oxford.
He was ranked as the highest student admitted to the Neuroscience programme at Oxford University and awarded a Senior Scholarship (having additionally been awarded full scholarships by the Universities of Cambridge and London). He subsequently received advanced training in clinical and experimental neuropsychology in the USA and Canada: he was a Clinical Research Fellow at the Rotman Institute of Baycrest Centre/University of Toronto, where he held a Royal Society/NATO International Fellowship in Neuropsychology. He additionally received advanced training in neuropsychology via the Universities of Pittsburgh, Ottawa and Boston.
Expert is a Fellow of the Royal Medical Society, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Scientist (United Kingdom), a Full Member of the Division of Neuropsychology of the British Psychological Society, a Registered Psychologist (Australia & New Zealand), a Registered Clinical Neuropsychologist (Western Australia) and a Full Member of the College of Clinical Neuropsychology of the Australian Psychological Society (only current registered clinical supervisor in WA).
He was elected to the National Executive Committee of the British Neuropsychological Society, and to the National Executive Committee of the College of Clinical Neuropsychology of the Australian Psychological Society (only neuropsychologist from WA ever to be elected to this committee). He has been nominated as Coordinator for Clinical Neuropsychology in the Health Department of Western Australia (Neurosciences and Sense Clinical Network) and as the Head of the Section of Clinical Neuropsychology (WA), Australian Psychological Society.
He was awarded a Professorial Chair in Neuropsychology in London.
Expert presents regularly on (undisclosed) radio show on matters related to his clinical practice in neuropsychology.
Expert has published and lectured widely, including the authoring of numerous publications that are directly related to his clinical practice. He has written or edited 5 books to date, published over 150 scientific publications and given over 250 oral presentations. He has published over 90 articles listed in the ISI Web of Science, with a current scientific H index (ISI) of 18.
