Expert co-founded a registered non-profit organization in Athens, Greece, aiming at promoting the knowledge and clinical applications of advanced MRI and related techniques in the fields of neuro-oncology and neurodegeneration among neuroradiologists and clinical scientists. The society is keen at supporting young investigators to pursue research activities in renowned academic centers. Expert has been co-organizer of the international meeting, in Athens, Greece. This is a bi-annual two-day meeting in cooperation with University of Athens and the Foundation of Research and Technology (FORTH) in Herakleion, Greece. The meeting objective is to embrace the role of MRI in neuro-oncology. The teaching material is exclusively centered on advanced MR application techniques (spectroscopy, perfusion, diffusion, fMRI, DTI) and the teaching sessions are accompanied by interactive discussions with case material. |
