Law enforcement officials in this country are, by statute, vested with more authority than the President of the United States. Simply, they are the only individuals who can initially deprive a person of their personal freedom without due process and do so simply on their own word - the act of an "arrest." Correctional Officers in the federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) are no exceptions. Unfortunately, as Lord Acton once opined, "Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Understandably, felons relinquish a great deal of their personal freedoms upon conviction. However, when confined in the Bureau of Prisons (BOP), who protects their basic civil rights? Notwithstanding the ever increasing number of non-licensed and/or non-attorney "consultants" that are offering such services, there are, in fact, licensed and dedicated attorneys who strive to hold the government accountable.

These legal advocates need individuals who are experienced and skilled enough to effectively navigate the labyrinth of federal BOP policies and procedures as well as having the legal acumen to prepare a cogent final product.

The post 9/11 era has brought new attention to workplace safety and related security issues. Normal and traditional liability issues aside, employers are now accountable for workforce safety as well as complying with new government security regulations.

Workplace safety & security issues and now expanded dramatically to include pre-employment personnel backgrounds, FCRA compliance, facility security issues, OSHA compliance, employer "Due Diligence," and a host of other security concerns.

A diligent employer not only addresses these many concerns, but also offers the requisite employee training to establish meaningful and effective safety programs.
