• During his stay, he developed markets for leather and industrial chemicals in to Ethiopia from group companies and other suppliers.

• Expert was a part of the three member team to conduct a feasibility study on leather industry/ business for Botswana. The team was appointed by the ministry of Industry, Government of Botswana.
• His last position in India before being deputed to Ethiopia was Deputy General Manager; Procurement of leather. He was handling purchase of leather worth USD 30 Million/ annum.
• For last three years, Expert has been working for International Trade Center Geneva as Leather sect for SITA (Supporting India trade and investment in Africa). He has been contracted to assist country leather strategy for Tanzania and to prepare a technical standards guide for Indian, Italian and International standards for leathers from Africa. This guide has been published by International Trade center for beneficiaries in East African countries. At present, expert is working with this agency to upgrade selected tanneries in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda on technical and marketing skills for value addition and upgradation to enter in to and sustain in the international market. The assignment involves identification of beneficiary tanneries, onsite technical help and facilitate interaction with international buyers. This is accomplished by guiding tanneries on technical upgradation and bringing them to international markets through delegations and participating in international leather fairs. This year the program will be extended to Ethiopia and Rwanda as well. The SITA program is funded by DFID U.K..
• Worked as consultant to Development Alternative Inc. (Europe) in Ethiopia for three months. The assignment was to assist them in finalizing intervention for linking the leather tanneries in Ethiopia to domestic and international footwear clients for supply of finished leather. This program is funded by DFID U.K..
• Expert is also working as a consultant a large tannery in Ethiopia and Bangladesh to study their present effluent treatment plants and identify gaps and suggest improvements to bring the plant to the international standards.
• Expert is a consultant to a leather goods factory in Kolkata, India to develop vegetable tanned and chrome free leathers.

Zambia: To understand possibility of leather business and evaluate a tannery buying proposal.
South Africa: To explore selling of finished leather and shoes.
Ivory Coast: Technical upgradation of a wet blue leather tannery to buy wet blue leather.
Mali: Technical upgradation of a wet blue leather tannery to buy wet blue leather.
Egypt/ Tanzania/ Uganda/ Kenya/ Rwanda: 1. For wet blue and crust process and vendor development for buying in India and the world markets. 2. As a part of leather business delegation from India to explore leather buying opportunities.
Ethiopia: As the country head for International Limited Ethiopia for six years.

Japan: Representative to sell shoe uppers and shoes.

South America: Brazil - as a part of Indian leather delegation and buying wet blue leathers.
North America: Canada- For selling shoe uppers and shoes.
During these years, Expert had been exposed to various programs on quality control, management excellence, Six Sigma, Quality and Environment Management (like ISO 9000 & 14000 etc.) and technical up gradation, was deputed to Dewas Tanneries Private limited, a small scale enterprise in Dewas (India) for one year as the manager of the unit to manage technical and commercial functions.
During Expert's 15 years in raw material procurement division, his function was to train the small & medium sized tannery owners and technicians in technical functions in and outside India. The purpose was to train them to make right quality leather, follow and meet required technical standards of the buyer and the customer country.
