A leading thinker and voice in innovation practices, Expert has led many successful global, innovative new business development initiatives for a world Class chemical company– particularly in the field of plastics, foams and composites and for markets as diverse as transportation, building and construction, appliances, temperature controlled environments and specialty packaging.

These projects and initiatives have created more than USD 100 MM of new business and technology. In addition to business management, Expert has had roles in innovation best practices development and Stage Gate processes, project management, product development and in R&D. Expert is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

More recently, Expert has supported a number of start-up companies including a Vice Presidents role at an innovative, low cost, modular buildings provider in Istanbul, and as interim Strategy Advisor for an advanced membrane water recycling technology in Vienna.

Expert’s role is discovering untapped needs and using the “Outcome-Driven”, Front End of Innovation processes to create novel, sustainable, value-creating products and services, aligned with the organizations strategy. Expert is a strong proponent of Open Innovation and a member of the 5 major “Open Innovation” Communities, where he participates as an active Solution Provider.

Starting at the Front End of Innovation, Expert helps organizations discover the most valuable, strategic opportunities and then joins the team to develop the road map and ensure a Gate-based and robust implementation. To support the process, Expert has designed a novel Innovation program “Rapid Innovation” which offers organizations, best-in-class Front End of Innovation management frameworks and training solutions, supported through advanced information technology.
