Information Governance

Information governance is the foundation for managing business--an organization fails if it does not assure the integrity and quality of the information assets on which it operates. To govern information requires knowing all of the rules that apply to digital information, building the processes and controls for assuring the proper execution of those rules, and maintaining the records that demonstrate the rules have been properly executed. My career has enabled me to learn and apply, across a portfolio of some of the world's largest companies, all of the rules that must be navigated--business rules, technology rules, legal rules, and economic rules. I help companies identify all of the rules, build the business case for the economic value of doing so, and develop and execute their designs for governing information. I have developed a portfolio of tools that enable companies to use information governance as a tool for creating and preserving wealth, rather than as a by-product of managing risk.
