Ms. Expert has extensive experience in law enforcement services, working on criminal investigations and international terrorism. She served as a police inspector and was in charge of complex police investigations of terrorism, organized crime and corruption related cases.
She was nominated 4-year mandate (2010-2014) Independent Expert in the State Commission for monitoring and inspection of police stations and custodial facilities. Providing expertize and drafting recommendations on improvement of human rights of persons deprived of liberty and operations of police stations and correctional institutions on all levels in Bosnia.
She is currently working for an NGO as a consultant/researcher; drafting study on National Integrity System-Pillar on Law Enforcement Agencies; conducting research on success of corruption and money laundering investigation done by law enforcement agencies, and on independence, transparency and accountability of such agencies
Drafting recommendations and providing advises to law enforcement agencies on all levels in Bosnia for more efficient operation in investigation of mentioned crimes
Under the Council of Europe Project (Prison Reform), in the period of 2005-2008:
Provided assistance to international experts in: Introducing European and international standards of investigation of unusual incidents and allegations in custodial facilities; Introducing modern system of inspection of human rights and prisons operation; Primary research design of the model for risk and needs assessment of convicted persons
Provided technical assistance to Ministries of Justice and Ministries of Internal Affairs
Participated in drafting laws and by-laws on execution of criminal sanctions
Participated in final evaluation of the project
As an Independent Expert on EC funded project, in 2008, she provided assistance to the International Legal Expert in: the process of assessing the existing legislative framework, and drafting local Law on Labour introducing EU standards and principles (part of Law related to employment of convicted persons and those after release)
