GEODESY (GRAVITY MEASUREMENTS). A significant part of Expert's career has been spent in measuring the earth's gravitational field. Much of this work has been directed to the delineation of bedrock valleys in water resource investigations. He has made numerous measurements of the gravity field to calibrate pressure measuring devices.
MAGNETICS. Expert has conducted numerous magnetic surveys. He has used magnetics extensively to locate metallic debris in environmental projects. In the area of mineral resource investigations, he has supervised numerous magnetic surveys to determine the distribution of magnetic material in the earth's upper crust.
ELECTROMAGNETICS. Expert has used electromagnetic measurements to determine the distribution of geological units within the earth's near surface. A significant part of his work is the delineation of leachate plumes in environmental studies. He has also used electromagnetics to determine the distribution of conductive minerals in mineral resource exploration.
GEOPHYSICAL ELECTRICAL METHODS. Expert has used electrical surveys (resistivity, induced polarization, and spontaneous potential) to delineate geological units. A major part of this work has been documenting the distribution of leachate plumes, both vertical and horizontal. He has conducted resistivity surveys for designing electrical grounding systems.
