Expert has designed and fabricated wood treatment cylinders and chambers and has extensive experience with wood treatment processes. He is also an expert in the bioconversion and bioprocessing of wood and other lignocellulose materials including processes such as biopulping. He has over 100 refereed research publications in these areas, and he has been an invited speaker nationally and internationally on 4 different continents. In addition, Expert has received teaching awards for his excellence in the classroom.
Expert has served as the elected President of the Forest Products Society and on the Executive Board of the Society of Wood Science and Technology, and he has many industry, academic and government contacts via his contacts with these organizations. He also served as the National Director of the Wood Utilization Research Centers. His prior experience also includes service as the Program Leader in Wood Science and Technology at the University of Maine and Head, Department of Sustainable Biomaterials at Virginia Tech.
In addition to his academic experience as a teacher and researcher, he is an experienced Expert Witness in giving Courtroom testimony, as well as in preparing Depositions and Declarations.
