Expert has both a postgraduate diploma in law, (CPE), and a postgraduate diploma in legal practice (LPC). He has worked in the IT industry since qualifying from law school in 1995. Expert has more than a decade’s experience in consulting to law firms, accountancy firms and investigators with respect to electronic evidence. He has been quoted many times in national newspapers, has provided numerous seminars on electronic evidence, and is a member of the Society for Computers & Law.
Expert regularly consults to organisations that wish to understand what data has been removed by a current/former employee in contravention of both company policies and intellectual property rights. He regularly consults to general counsel and outside-counsel in the planning and execution of electronic document disclosure as part of the litigation process (UK Civil Procedure Rules Part 31). Projects that he has completed range up to statements of claim in the hundreds of millions of Pounds, covering multiple jurisdictions and terabytes of data. Expert consults to general counsel and outside-counsel in the planning and execution of a company's internal document reviews to support regulatory and other investigations.
