He possesses auditing experience to both Canadian and U.S regulatory requirements He also has many years of experience in food packaging development, manufacturing, and troubleshooting.
He has amassed expert knowledge of rigid and flexible food packaging manufacturing, specifications, container closure evaluation, fillers, and spoilage problem investigation. He has extensive thermal processing experience (retort as well as aseptic systems) and has served as a dairy food safety expert for the Employer.
Expert provides scientific and technical support to OMAFRA’s Food Inspection programs, which entails the assessment of new technologies; assistance in program policy and regulation development; food safety and risk assessment studies to provide data for appropriate standard development; troubleshooting and processing plant assistance; HACCP and quality systems assessment; training; plant food safety system audits; stakeholder education; food safety audits; and stakeholder training and the development of beneficial stakeholder relationships.
