Expert has taken many meter hardware projects through the complete development cycle from requirements through prototype delivery. He has been granted 92 patents, most being implemented with multiple hardware examples. His first patent, Heat Meters, granted in 1980, laid the groundwork for one of the first modern BTU meters. He produced several other firsts, including a Dual Turbine Insertion Probe which automatically corrects for the fluid swirl, an Ultrasonic Transit-Time Flow Sensing Probe, an Electromagnetic Flow Sensing Probe, including many related patents, and also valuable innovations pertaining particularly to Turbine, Magnetic, and Ultrasonic flow meters which have been retained as trade secrets.
His areas of expertise are:
Electrical Engineering, Heat Transfer Instrumentation, and Meters, Thermal Energy/BTU Meters, Liquid, Gas, Steam Flow Instrumentation, and Meters. Meter Mechanical and Electronic Design, and Fabrication to Proof of Concept and Prototype Stages of Development, Production, Marketing, and Application Support.
While serving the following industries, the expert has developed more than 92 patents relating to flow sensors, liquid-meters, flow probes, sensor probes, flow probe gauges, flow sensor methods, error detection, and compensation methods, transfer measurements, detection apparatus', measurements, etc.: HVAC, Manufacturing Processes, Energy Generation and Usage, Agriculture and Food Processing, Water and Waste Water Supply.
He is an expert in the instrumentation, and design of those instruments, about steam, gas, and fluid flow measurements.
Expert has provided engineering design services in HVAC instrumentation, either as an employee or consultant to his principal employer (except for a few intermediate years), from about 1986 to the present. Expert has made improvements to ultrasonic transit-time, magnetic, turbine, mass flow, target and other types of fluid flow sensors, and on heat flow instrumentation to meet the needs of his clients. Some of these improvements have been the subjects for granted patents (92+).
Principal Industries Served
HVAC, Manufacturing Processes, Energy Generation and Usage, Medical Diagnostics and Drug Manufacturing, Agriculture and Food Processing, Water and Waste Water Supply.
