From its inception in 2003, Expert led a team of healthcare professionals to raise $325 million and manage a royalty-based private equity fund to acquire royalties from research institutes, inventors, and companies until his departure in 2009. Prior to 2003, he directed a public royalty investment company in Canada from 1993 until he initiated its sale in 2002. His responsibilities have included: raising capital, business development, negotiations, licensing, strategic initiatives, and creating deal structures, workout situations, financial management and investor relations. He has been active in searching, analyzing and investing in biotech and pharmaceutical products for a total of sixteen years. Previous to his interest in that industry, he held positions as a senior financial and operational executive in a major Canadian industrial company. His peers regard him as a person with high integrity and moral principles.

He led the investment, financial, strategic and investor relations’ functions of a TSX-listed corporation. Identified, assessed and negotiated investments in the pharma/biotech sector. Conducted media interviews. Chairman of the Investment Committee. Reported to the board of directors. Results:
