Request Expert

Expert is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty certification in critical care medicine and advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography, with a clinical career spanning more than two decades in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and surgical critical care. Expert's training includes residency in anesthesiology at a major U.S. academic medical center, a critical care anesthesiology fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and an international cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship in New Zealand. Prior to entering medicine, Expert worked as a registered nurse and anesthesia technician, providing a strong foundation in bedside critical care.

Over the course of Expert's career, Expert has held academic appointments as an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, including service as Co-Medical Director of an ECMO program and member of an ECLS executive steering committee, alongside committee roles in anticoagulation management and national society guidelines development. Expert has held attending anesthesiologist positions across multiple health systems in the United States, maintaining an active clinical practice in cardiothoracic anesthesiology.

Expert has authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and a textbook chapter on acid-base and blood gas interpretation, and has contributed freelance medical writing to healthcare industry publications. Since 2016, Expert has also provided medical-legal consulting services, drawing on extensive clinical experience in cardiac anesthesia, critical care, and mechanical circulatory support.
