Request Expert

Expert has spent a majority of his career involved in assisting companies select and implement systems to manage the process of manufacturing. His work has included almost every major software product for mainframe, mid-range, and minicomputers, as well as many microcomputer products. He is experienced in discrete, job shop, batch process, and the automotive and aerospace industries. He also has conducted highly-regarded in-plant education courses.

A significant portion of Expert's career has involved distribution and logistics. His work has included warehouse layout and technology, stocking level and picking/packing, and order entry, processing, and management. He has also worked with major automotive companies and military service arms.

Expert is experienced in the implementation of systems for the engineering disciplines. His work has included the analysis of engineering managerial styles and operations, as well as the determination of departmental functional needs. He is also knowledgeable in the evaluation and implementation of computer-based solutions for design, manufacture, and analysis of both mechanical and electronic components and assemblies.

Expert is an active member of the X12 (EDI) Standards Committee. He has provided training and consultation to both large supply chains and small business EDI concepts, mapping, and integration using both ANSI-X12 and UN/EDIFACT.

Expert's career has involved the integration of islands of information and automation. He has also participated in the development of integration strategies to develop enterprise-wide solutions covering long-term objectives and short-range migration plans.

Expert has worked with almost every class of enterprise (in terms of size, industry, and level of applied automation) to achieve effective material, production & human resource effectiveness throughout the manufacturing and distribution cycle. He has in depth experience with management of multi-level supply chains to achieve minimal levels of materials in stores and in-process at all levels. His efforts have achieved dramatic reduction in aggregate material levels, through-put, and cycle time reduction while maintaining and enhansing customer service levels and on-time deliveries.

As the Project Manager, Expert developed and implemented multi-tier order entry inventory control systems for a multi-line truck manufacturer. He developed and delivered full day multi-media presentation for OSD/CALS and assisted a multi-plant first tier automotive manufacturer in the selection and implementation of MRP II system. Served as Materials Handling Consultant to national warehouse management of a major automotive transplant. Consultant to MRP II software vendor, critically evaluated product functionality and recommended improvements.
