In the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Expert served as sole systems administrator, then as systems NCO (non-commissioned officer). He continuously provided full spectrum support to MEU (Marine Expeditionary Units) during the pre-deployment phase. Responsibilities included tracking and maintaining hundreds of classified pieces of gear in movement across the entire East Coast, as well as liaison with the Navy to ensure successful implementation of systems on USS Iwo Jima. In his role with II Marine Expeditionary Force G2 (Intelligence section, Expert: • Served as Systems NCO for the II MEF intelligence staff • Provided direct desktop support as to 60 local users on 100 workstations, maintaining the ongoing cycle of technology upgrades and refreshes. He assisted in the coordination with subordinate elements to ensure intelligence systems requirements were identified and met, and that subordinate systems sections are collaborating on issues, concerns, and solutions. |
