CHEMICAL RECRYSTALLIZATION; TEREPHTHALIC ACID. Expert has extensive experience in industrial problems related to crystal purity. He has worked extensively on the purification of terephthalic acid and has also worked with a number of organic and inorganic materials.
CRYSTAL GROWTH; CRYSTAL HABIT. Expert is particularly interested in the area of crystal habit prediction, using calculational methods. His current work includes production of the effect of impurities and solvents on crystal morphology.
POLYMORPHISM. Expert has experience in searching for new polymorphs experimentally and by employing calculational methods.
DIFFUSION THEORY. Expert has an active research program which studies diffusion in metastable solutions. He is able to measure diffusion coefficients in the liquid phase employing interferometers.
Expert conducts basic research in the area of nucleation and focuses on methods to control nucleation using new and novel methods.
Expert has served as a consultant to over 40 companies in the chemical process industries in the area of crystallization. Expert teaches in house short courses in crystallization for a number of companies. Expert has served as an expert witness in a number of cases.
