Expert was instrumental in the production of a commercial line of cryogenic freezers that have dominated the food freezing market. He conducted pioneering work using phase change cryogenics to store refrigeration energy for use in standard freezing plants. Expert has examined and evaluated large commercial refrigeration systems for a very large retail chain store. Expert was able to recommend changes to computer controls to increase efficiency and reduce operating cost.
Expert continues to participate in the design, installation, and operation of large state-of-the-art cryogenic facilities using helium, hydrogen, and nitrogen. These national laboratory facilities also use ultra-high vacuum equipment and methods.
Expert is also knowledgeable of vacuum compatible materials, thermal insulation systems, vacuum insulation, cryogenic material handling, cryogenic bearings and seals, and thermodynamic evaluation of processes.
