Expert is an award winning software innovator, the only person in the U.S. to win the "Young Innovator" award from the Youth Employment Summit in Alexandria, Egypt in 2002. Expert is currently consulting other techonology start-ups, helping with their innovation and development. Expert founded one of the first many-to-many e-content publishing companies on the internet using the Application Service Provider model. As CEO of an internationally recognized ASP business from 2000 - 2006, Expert gained considerable real-world experience and expertise in this area.
Having begun her career as a CEO while in law school to study environmental law, Expert quickly learned to merge her two ideals by taking an interest in the area of corporate responsibility. Convinced that it is possible to do well by doing good, Expert works in both the for profit and nonprofit worlds to help develop good corporate citizenship. As President and Board Member for the International Young Professionals Foundation, Expert led over 500 young professionals from across the globe, helping to redefine the terms of the workplace to include responsibility for people, the community, and the planet. Expert currently serves on the Club of Rome's tt30 think tank where issues related to the role of the private sector in sustainability and solving major problems of civilization are investigated and discussed.

Expert gained 6 years of experience in entrepreneurship and executive management as CEO and founder of Smart Mediary Systems, which developed many-to-many online digital content marketplaces.
Expert also has16 years of experience as a sustainability advocate, starting with organizing Earth Day celebrations in high school and work at the Center for Environmental Economic Development and other nonprofits in college. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for SustainUS, an organization that she also co-founded, promoting the U.S. youth voice in international sustainable development negotiations, and is a member of the Club of Rome's tt30 Think Tank for global problem-solving. 2002 received the Youth Employment Summit's "Young Innovators" award for creating sustainable self-employment opportunities for youth through SmartMediary's digital content marketplace concept. She has a Bachelors of Science in Natural Resources (summa cum laude), a Doctorate in Jurisprudence, is a Morris K. Udall and Natural Resources Law Scholar, and 2002 finalist for Oregon 's Women Entrepreneur of the Year.
Environmental/ Sustainability Focus -
Expert started sustainable development advocacy in 1990 as a teenager organizing Earth Day and Earth Week celebrations in India and California. A Morris K. Udall Scholar, she graduate summa cum laude from Humboldt State University with a degree in Natural Resources Management Policy and a minor in International Relations. She completed her law degree and a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
While in law school she worked as an environmental Law Clerk for Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and later as a Law Clerk for the International Environmental Law Project, which led her to attend the International Whaling Commission meetings in London as an assistant to one of the United Kingdom's delegates. Expert is currently a member of the Club of Rome's young think tank program (the tt30 program), an interdisciplinary global sustainable development think tank. She has lived abroad in India, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Holland.
