He has over forty years of experience in consulting to organizations of all sizes. Expert serves or has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Pulse Electronics, Inc. (NYSE), Technitrol, Inc. (NYSE) Home Loan Investment Bank, FSB and Ocean State Business Development Authority. He is the Chairman of the Board of Oceanstate Business Development Authority. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Washington Trust Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ), the Barrett Growth Fund and the advisory boards of closely held corporations. He is and has been a member of Audit, Executive Compensation and Governance Committees of public corporations, Expert is the former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the William Penn Bank. Currently, Expert is Distinguished University Professor of Business Administration at Employer. From 1998-2006, he served as Dean of the College of Business Administration at Employer. Earlier in his career, he served as Dean of The Belk College of Business Administration at the Unviersity of North Carolina at Charlotte, the School of Business and Management at Temple University and the W. Paul Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University. He received BBA and MBA degrees from the Baruch College of the City University of New York and the PhD degree in business administration from The Pennsylvania State University. He has also held full-time and visiting faculty appointments at the University of Detroit, West Virginia University, Graduate School of Business of the University of Pittsburgh, the Graduate School of Business of the University of Puerto Rico, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and Harvard University. He is the author, co-author and/or editor of twelve books in business and over two hundred articles in trade publications, newspapers and refereed journals.He has served on the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees of the United States Department of Justice in Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. He currently serves as the Co-Economic Forecast Manager for Rhode Island and the New England Economic Partnership. Among the industries in which he has consulted include automotive, general consumer products, banking, utilities, financial services, entertainment, food and beverage, retailing, healthcare, entertainment and sports administration.
