Construction expert, has over forty-three years of hands on experience in project development,
design and construction of commercial, industrial and upscale residential projects. He has extensive experience in conceptual design and completion of projects varying from simple to very complex projects. Including projects dealing with “brownfields,” DEQ, DNR and most city governments in southeastern Michigan. He accomplished many “firsts” in the construction industry. Starting in 1978 designing and building the first Michigan first solarhome in Farmington Hills. Second, in 1980, the development, design and construction of one of the first private condominium developments in Michigan. Third, in 1987, the first two major redevelopment projects in Detroit, the adaptive reuse of a 40,000 SF house into The Whitney Restaurant. Following that the complete restoration of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall. Forth, in 1998, the first largest “brownfield” (20 acres) redevelopment project in Michigan, the development, design and construction of Kenwal Steel 220,000 building and 20-acre site improvements including a rail spur. Fifth, the first Michigan builder to have five of the largest homes being built at one time in 1999 totaling twenty-eight million dollars. Over $340,000,000 in construction projects completed. He has construction experience in commercial, industrial and residential projects of all types. His work has included hundreds of homes, extension residential and commercial renovation projects, many new office and medical buildings, restaurants, thousands of commercial remodeling projects, hundreds of industrial projects including four large industrial developments. He has served as a construction cost consultant to many of the major Detroit area architects. Also, he has worked with several of the Detroit area and Lansing area attorneys on construction related cases as an expert witness.
He has served a Board member for the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, Board member and President of AGC -Detroit (Associated General Contractors of America,) President of ASPE – Detroit (American Society of
Professional Estimators, and Board member and current Vice President of ABC -Southeastern Michigan
(Associated Builders and Contractors.)

Expert understands design and costs associated with the design. He is able to develp a good cost evaluation of a project and recommend cost effective alternates.
