Called upon to consult on a floor failure. The School system had a new facility open and in less than a year the shine was poor and the concrete colorant was rinsing out in the janitors mop water. They were dissatisfied with the "polished concrete" that had been presented as a final finished product and wanted a professional account of the failings and how it could be remedied. A complete analysis of the floor was completed including gloss readings, moisture content measurements, slip resistance readings, and a professional examination of the dye and polish process. Expert recommended an approved contractor to repair the floor, first with a mock-up and then by re-grinding and dyeing the entire 10,500 square feet of dyed and polished concrete.Architects called upon Expert to examine the work completed at an educational facility. His expertise was requested due to questions regarding chemical components, mechanical processing of the concrete from edge to edge, and general craftsmanship issues. He provided a mock-up of what the concrete floor should look like when processed properly and when proper chemistry is introduced. The General Contractor called upon Expert to examine work completed at an educational facility. The Architect had specified a specific contractor and that contractor had performed at a standard that did not meet owner, architect or general's expectaions. Video recording was done of GHP processors attempt to meet the specification, unfortunately the work performed did not. Expert was asked to recommend a specification to repair the floor and restore the polish to it's intended specification. He did so successfully.
