Expert obtained her Doctorate degree in Psychological Medicine and Psychiatry from the University of London, UK. She is a Honorary Visiting Research Associate of the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, and a Scientific Fellow of Hippocration General Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, in Thessaloniki, Greece. She is a Chartered Psychologist of The British Psychological Society.

Expert has worked in clinical and research settings, with patients in psychiatric hospitals and rehabilitation units in Greece and in the UK (Maudsley Hospital, London; Bethlem Royal Hospital, Kent; Fulbourn Hospital, Cambridge; Hippocration General Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, Thessaloniki, Greece; University of Athens, Psychiatric Department, Athens, Greece). She is experienced in neuropsychological and psychometric assessments. Her clinical interests involve the assessment and treatment of adult anxiety disorders, depression, psychosis, relationship problems, smoking cessation as well as assisting the relatives or carers of people with mental disorders.

Expert's theoretical and clinical background is based on cognitive-behavioural and ecclectic approaches, body/mind medicine and mindfulness. She has been trained in psychotherapeutic methods as well as in specific programmes for anxiety, depression and psychosis. She has translated 2 books on psychology and psychiatry from English into Greek, Theory of Mind Tests, and she is in the process of publishing a book on depression and women.

Expert's theoretical and clinical background is based on cognitive-behavioural and ecclectic approaches, body/mind medicine and mindfulness. She has been trained in psychotherapeutic methods as well as in specific programmes for anxiety, depression and psychosis. On the basis of an ecclectic approach, she is treating adult anxiety disorders (panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessions-compulsions), depression, psychosis, personality disorders, phobias, eating disorders, painful emotions and conflicts that may be involved in infertility. She has currently developed a smoking cessation programme. She is also working with relatives or carers of people with mental disorders in order to assist them in managing the difficulties that arise from living with a person with psychological difficulties.

Expert is experienced in psychological assessments. Her approach is based on a detailed clinical interview and the use of the most valid psychometric tests. She can provide evalutations, consultations and reports about personality, problems of everyday functioning due to mental illness or other psychological difficulties. During her clinical work in the Psychiatric Department of Hippocration General Hospital Expert has assessed more than 400 patients using clinical interviews and psychometric evaluations such as:
MMPI-2, Rorschach Inkblot Test, I.P.D.E., Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire, M.I.N.I., Hamilton Depression Scale, Hamilton Anxiety Scale, Symptom Checklist 90-R, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, Self-description, Draw-a-Person in patients with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorder, alcohol and drug dependency, patients from the general hospital.

During her work in The Psychiatric Department of Hippocration General Hospital, Expert has worked as a consultant and provided evaluations after assessing psychopathology and personality in people that needed special evaluation in order to work as judges, bank personnel, security officers, or gain pensions.

Expert is experienced in the neuropsychological evaluation of adults and children. She provides assessments and consulations in English and Greek. Her area of expertise involves the following areas:
1. neuropsychiatric disorders (e.g. schizophrenia, depression, Alzheimer)
2. neurodevelopmental disorders in childen (e.g. autism) and adults (e.g. Asperger)

Expert provides a full assessment of cognitive function such a attention, memory, executive function, psycho-motor ability, language, intelligence. She performs the assessment using a detailed clinical interview and the latest modern and valid neuropsychological tests. Clock Drawing Test, Mini Mental State Examination, Raven’s Standard Progressive Matrices Test, Trail Making Test A and B, Stroop Task, subscales of the WAIS-IV, Ray Auditory Verbal Learning Test, Babcock Story Recall Test Verbal Fluency Task, Rey Complex Figure Test in patients with schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, and acquired brain injuries.

Expert provides a detailed evaluation and consultation of your research project that involves any aspect of mental health. She is an anonymous scientific reviewer for International Journals such as Schizophrenia Research, The British Journal of Psychiatry, and Psychological Medicine.

Expert's research focuses on Theory of Mind abilities and neuropsychological function in mental disorders. She is experienced in the design, data collection and statistical analysis of psychological and psychiatric research as well as in the writing up of results and scientific papers. She can provide consultations about research design, data collection and statistical analysis.
