Expert's clinical expertise extends across a wide range of lifespan conditions, including but not limited to, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, movement disorders, stroke, cancer, traumatic brain injury/concussion, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, sleep disorders, ADHD/Learning disorders, and mood problems.
Expert remains actively involved in research through her role as Sub-Investigator for clinical drug trials targeting Alzheimer’s disease within the RDBHC as well as serving as a clinical rater for clinical trials through Elligo Health Research. Through her role as Senior Educational Consultant with Pearson Assessments, she provides educational seminars to professionals on a variety of Pearson Assessment products and neuropsychology topics, primarily to for training of raters for pharmaceutical clinical trials. She has been actively involved in supervision and mentorship of neuropsychology trainees. Within the Ray Dolby Brain Health Center, she has served as a supervisor for practicum, internship, and post-doctoral trainees.
Expert earned her Master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Arizona State University. Her Master’s thesis focused on the psychosocial and cultural predictors of maternal and infant health outcomes. Her dissertation work was recognized with an APA Dissertation Research Award and examined how stress impacts neuropsychological and physiological reactivity within young adults with Type 1 Diabetes.
Expert completed an APA approved pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL and her two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology within the Alzheimer’s Disease Center at the University of California, Davis.

Responsibilities:Director of Neuropsychology2022-Present Expert directs the RDBHC neuropsychology program and expansion efforts along with prior duties associated with her clinical neuropsychologist role. In this capacity, she has asisted with re-establishment of clinical trial program and served as sub-investigator. Clinical Neuropsychologist 2015-2021 Expert provided comprehensive adult/geriatric clinical neuropsychological evaluations with a focus on memory, aging and dementia syndromes. She was an integral member of a multidisciplinary team including neurologists, nurse practitioners, and social workers. In this role, Expert organized and led the monthly Neuropsychology Journal Club and Fact-Finding Seminar provided to community of San Francisco Bay area neuropsychologists and trainees. She organized and led the monthly Neurodegenerative Case Conference for multidisciplinary providers throughout northern California. She also supervised clinical and research training across practicum, an APA-approved Neuropsychology Track internship, and post-doctoral neuropsychology fellows. Interim Director of Clinical Operations 2019-20 Expert directed clinal operations of multidisciplinary team -- including neurologist, nurse practitioner, and social workers. She provided the training and supervision of newly hired nurse practitioners with regard to diagnosis and management of memory concerns and dementia syndromes. During this time Expert led weekly case conferences and training seminars for a multidisciplinary team. She co-led the selection and recruitment of a new medical director for the clinic. |
