As a full time, certified wound care specialist for almost 22 years and with a background in General and Vascular Surgery, Expert is trained to deal with all aspects of the field of wound care. This would include all aspects related to causal factors on both the macroscopic and microscopic levels, related factors including nutrition, circulatory compromise (arterial, venous and lymphatic), systemic disease effects (diabetes, autoimmune diseases, renal failure, etc), and numerous other associated conditions which promote, cause or preclude healing of defects of the skin and other soft tissues.
He has been a Principle Investigator on numerous research protocols including Phase 1 NIH funded studies and is an expert consultant for the legal and investment professions in matters related to wound care. His practice involves care provided to patients in a multitude of settings including inpatient, long term care, assisted living and outpatient (for which he still makes hose calls).

His resume includes a large number of publications in peer reviewed journals as well as public presentations on both domestic and international podiums. He is a consultant to numerous corporations in the area of wound care and related fields and owns several patents for wound care related devices.

He is the CEO and Medical Director, which provides multiple health care services including Palliative Care, Psychology and mental health, lymphedema, Podiatry, Advanced wound care, Sleep Disease testing, and Pain Management. These services are provided in the patient's home, long term care, Assisted Living and Independent Living facilities. In addition, he is the medical director for several home health care agencies and hospices service providers.

Expert also practice advanced pain management using the highest standards and most stringent guidelines set by federal and state authorities to help patients manage their pain.

He is also certified by the federal government as an addiction medicine specialist with 2 substance abuse clinics that are certified by the state of Indiana that meet or exceed national state and local standards for best practices.

Expert works for several consulting firms providing expertise in wound care and related issues.
